Solar Power Rebates are available from the Australian Greenhouse Office for individuals where the installation address for solar power systems is the primary residence.

The rebate for Grid connected systems rewards you for doing your bit for the environment.

The rebate consists of a once only payment of $8.00 perwatt of solar panels installed up to a maximum of 1000 watts. This means that you will receive a grant of $8,000.00 if you live where the solar power system is to be located. This is quite a saving on the cost of an installation and Solartec Renewables will ensure that you gain access to the maximum amount available you are entitled to.

For standalone systems the new rebate consists of 50% of the installed cost of the system. This means that for a solar power system that may have cost $50,000, It will now only cost you $25,000 after your rebate has been paid to you by the AGO.
