Over for another year : Murrumbateman Field Days 2006

Once again we ran our interactive solar and wind power displays at the Murrumbateman Field days on October 14th & 15th 2006 .Set up alongside our AirX400 wind generator was an example of Grid connect Photovoltaics incorporating 3 Bp3155s (155 watt 24 volt) modules. Speaking to a great many visitors this year has proven to be different to former years as the general public is now becoming very aware that they as individuals are able to do something positive for the environment. Alsoon display were some individual components for standalone systems (inverters, regulators and some small area modules) and in all although long and hot days we had a great time.

ATA (Alternative Technology Association) and ANZSES (Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society) meetings

As members of ANZSES and the ATA, you will also see us at the monthly meetings where the general public are welcome to attend the interesting presentations on various renewable energy technologies and projects Australia wide. Come and participate! The meetings are on the last Wednesday evening of every month at 7.30pm at the Ian Ross Building, Level 1, Australian National University Canberra.

Sustainable House Day 2006

Solartec Electrical Services again showcased working renewable energy systems at this year's Sustainable House Day (formerly Solar House Day) run by ANZSES Australian & New Zealand Solar Energy Societ,. where you were welcome to inspect open houses in the region and meet others interested in making a difference.

Conferences: Again attended the annual Bp solar conference.

This year held in Sydney, It was a 3 day event where Phil was able to raise any questions of the Bp solar crew regarding their products.

SMA the principal supplier of Grid connect inverters for the Australian market released their new range of feature packed inverters including standalone systems for remote areas. Fully programmable these inverters will fit just about any application.

Solartec Electrical Services showcased 3 renewable energy systems for National Solar House Day 2005, which was a huge success in promoting public awareness of the Climate Change issue and exploring the possibilities of generating clean renewable energy on your own roof. The public viewed working examples of P.V systems suiting various requirements, generating all or most of the resident’s power needs. Hope you didn't miss this year's event, now called Sustainable House Day Sept 9th & 10th 2006.
